Embark upon the San Francisco Magic Parlor’s theatrical journey where fascinating tales of Wonder and Shadow unfold. Our fresh Performance style seamlessly blends classic Storytelling with classical Conjuring. Our new Parlor show is called “Astonishment! and that is exactly its intent.

We’ll introduce you to San Francisco’s most revered and feared eccentrics, offering captivating tales and astonishing conjuring. The evening’s vignettes are highlighted with magical moments employing unusual curios and rare artifacts. 

Time seems to stand still in our little Parlor situated within the historic Chancellor Hotel Union Square. Our whimsical turn-of-the-century venue evokes old San Francisco. Enjoy an optional light pre-show dinner, drinks, or desserts, from 5 pm to 7 pm in the lobby lounge.

Wherever you are in the world, there’s a special table reserved for you at the San Francisco Magic Parlor– on the Cable Car line in the heart of downtown’s Union Square.

So... what do we do with the kids???


Just lately we’ve had a number of people asking if the San Francisco Magic Parlor is appropriate for small children… and I very  much appreciate parents asking in advance.

While there is absolutely no objectionable language or material at all… we highly recommend the Parlor experience for adults 16 years and older.

For a family-friendly foray into magic may I suggest the wonderful San Francisco Magic Show at Pier 39 staring my colleague Timothy Noonan? It’s a great afternoon family option.

And… we hope to see the parents some evening when they have a “night off” from the kids!

This weekend we welcomed our new San Francisco Magic Parlor Hostess/House Manager Liz O. to our magical crew! I anticipate evenings with Liz and my Maestro House Manager Stephanie will be a surreal roller-coaster ride. They are “outgoing” ladies to say the least..
