Purported to be the first to produce a rabbit from his
top hat, Scottish Conjurer, Professor John Henry Anderson (dubbed by Sir Walter
Scott “The Great Wizard of the North”) Performed for Queen Victoria in 1849. He
enjoyed a successful engagement at Covent Gardens in 1855.
On a return visit to London in 1858 he resided with the
Charles Dickens family over the Holidays. Professor Anderson shared a few of
his assorted Wonders for party guests on that Christmas Eve.
You may be welcomed into the Dickens Parlour as well.
Simply attend one of the Five Sundays at “The Great Dickens Fair & Holiday
Victorian Holiday Party” in the Cow Palace. November 23, 30 and December 7, 14,
21st. Parlour seating is extremely limited!
